At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, Samsung debuted the Slim Fit EHS ClimateHub, its latest air-to-water heat pump series. This launch is aimed at the North American market, set for release next year, reflecting the growing demand for advanced heating solutions.
The Slim Fit EHS ClimateHub series includes two main indoor models: the ClimateHub Mono with an integrated water tank and the Hydro Unit Mono, a wall-mounted version without a water tank. Both models connect to the EHS Mono R32 HT Quiet outdoor unit, which operates at a low noise level of 35 decibels using R32 refrigerant. Key features of the indoor units include a 7-inch display for managing temperature and system settings, as well as monitoring energy usage from solar photovoltaic (PV) systems or other IoT devices.
The ClimateHub Mono and Hydro Unit Mono are designed with modern aesthetics and compact sizes, measuring 23.6 inches and 11.8 inches in depth, respectively. The ClimateHub Mono stands at 72.8 inches tall and 23.5 inches wide, while the Hydro Unit Mono reaches 33 inches in height and 13.8 inches in width. Both units are equipped with magnetic filters, three-way valves, and an expansion vessel, designed for effective heat management. The outdoor unit features advanced ‘scroll compressor’ and ‘flash injection technology’, allowing efficient operation even at temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius.
The introduction of these heat pumps aligns with a broader trend towards energy-efficient home solutions amid rising environmental awareness. Samsung’s integration of AI Energy Mode, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 17%, is a significant step in this direction. The use of AI and connectivity with smart home systems reflects a push towards intelligent energy management solutions, which are increasingly in demand as consumers seek to reduce their carbon footprints.
Samsung’s Vice President of the Air Solution Business Team, Hang Seok Choi, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation in heating technology, leveraging years of experience to meet the rising demand in North America. The ability to integrate with PV systems and SmartThings devices offers users comprehensive control over their energy usage, further enhancing the appeal of these solutions.
As Samsung prepares to introduce these advanced heating systems to the US market, the Slim Fit EHS ClimateHub series could significantly impact how households manage energy consumption. This move not only caters to the current shift towards sustainable living but also highlights Samsung’s role in leading technological advancements in home appliances.
